After dancing for over 20 years, our founder Shanon Dickson decided to start his own adventure of line-dancing classes within his local community. After brain-storming multiple name ideas and gaining suggestions from family members, one finally came to light. Merging the names of co-founders, Mellissa and Jessica as well as the founder Shanon, has created the now well-known name for our family-run business called: MJS LineDance.
After establishing our business in 2024 and dancing with our classes for over a year, we’ve established a safe and enjoyable community for all dancers to enjoy. Currently offering three successful classes of a Thursday night, MJS LineDance has continued to grow. Dancing to a variety of tunes such as Pop, Irish, Country and more, there’s always an easy-to-follow routine to be done.
We would like to thank our regulars and even visitors for their on-going support through this journey as we hope to continue it for a long time to come.
Shanon Dickson is the founder and lead instructor at MJS LineDance. Beginning at the young age of 13, Shanon has always had a passion for the rhythm and groove of line-dancing. Through the years Shanon has competed in many competitions and participated in many classes and socials, which he has gained an enormous amount of knowledge and experience to guide our class members. Shanon continues to make our classes a safe and enjoyable experience with a variety of dances and difficulties. (Yes, even the beginners get a challenge every now and then.) But, there is always excitement with each class.
